Leeds Baby Bank
Making sure no child goes without, Leeds Baby Bank supports families experiencing poverty in Leeds by providing essentials for children aged 0-5 years old. The charity needed a new website that would allow them to more seamlessly integrate and manage referrals and associated data within their existing Zoho CRM.
The challenge
Initially approaching us for CRM support, Leeds Baby Bank’s existing Zoho setup crucially enabled them to receive referrals and field donations, playing an essential role in accountability, legality, data and reporting, and fundraising. The setup was thorough and complex, but had become too layered, meaning some elements had stopped working correctly and relied on the input of IT specialists. While we originally stepped in to address these key workflow issues, we then decided to make Leeds Baby Bank our charity of the year, with an aim to design and build a new website alongside working on the Zoho integration.
The solution
Alongside working on the continued but more streamlined integration with Zoho, we held a workshop with the charity manager and trustees to discuss sitemap structure, design, and content. It was decided the new website would be a headless build in Storyblok CMS, enabling the client to make updates, and add or change content themselves.
Our brand refresh softened the colour palette, introducing warmer hues, and incorporated playful typography to evoke a childlike essence. We also revamped the logo and brought in hand-drawn iconography and gentle animations for a whimsical touch, creating a softer, more engaging user experience.
Streamlined messaging and improvements to the menu navigation encourage exploration around the site, boosting engagement and interaction. Clear visuals and steps simplify the referrals and donations processes, making them easy for all users to follow.
Moving forward, our support extends to ongoing CMS maintenance and upgrades, ensuring sustained efficiency for Leeds Baby Bank.
