Our first annual awards night
At the end of what can only be described as a turbulent year, we wanted to get together and recognise our crewmates’ achievements while having some festive fun. The crew has worked tirelessly this year, putting our clients first and doubling down when the going got tough through lockdown. Usually, we’d be donning our best dresses and heading into the city for some team building, food and drinks! This year, however, director Doug organised a virtual awards evening, with Taskmasteresque fun thrown in for good measure!
Introducing TBB awards
Peer-to-peer recognition is something we value heavily at TBB and we knew introducing an awards event would be welcomed by everyone. After a tough year, it was great to see crew members win awards for their stand-out contributions to the business over the past 12 months. However, it wouldn’t be a TBB event without some comedy. Without further ado, here are some of the winners of the first annual TBB awards night, as voted for by the crew:
The Back Of The Net award – who delivered the best result for a client this year?
Grace Lenihan
The C’mon FFS, We’ve Been Using Zoom For A Year award – who still struggles to unmute themselves?
Steven Powers
The Samwise Gamgee award – who really goes out of their way to help a crewmate?
Emma Heslop
The I’m The One And Only Innovator award – who did something that’s never been done before?
John Bell
Taskmaster fun
A fan of the TV show, Doug was keen to put everyone through their paces with some Taskmaster games. The first was an award to the best nautical fancy dress (using only what crewmates had around their houses). Other tasks ranged from blind self-portraits, to Play-Doh models of the directors, each with hilarious results.
All in all, it was a great evening filled with fun. Although we couldn’t spend it how we’d have liked, we enjoyed some quality time together and had a much-needed giggle.
